Vasectomy - A Simple Process

A simple process undertaken by many men is the Vasectomy - 13% of all British men choose a vasectomy. The whole visit to Victoria Medical Centre is no more than an hour, with the vasectomy procedure usually lasting 10 minutes.

Friendly Service

A detailed consultation prior to the vasectomy is undertaken lasting about 20 minutes and the post procedure cup of tea, chat and review is about 30 minutes.

No Scalpel Vasectomy Technique

We use a no scalpel technique to allow rapid return to normal activities. It is important to rest and avoid heavy lifting for two weeks following the procedure to minimise the risk of complications.

Sperm testing

You are advised to have sperm tests at 12 and 14 weeks after the procedure in order to confirm that no sperm are present in the semen, and we will give you the sample bottles for this. Please note that you will need to use alternative contraception and extra precautions until two clear samples are obtained.
